with a Piano Service
Welcome to my website, my name is Vincent Tarin, and I am a French/Australian piano tuner in Melbourne. Let me tell you a little about myself.
I started as an apprentice in 3 different stores in France over 4 years, and graduated from The Itemm Academy, Le Mans as a fully certified piano tuner. I then immigrated to Ireland where I was a full time technician for 5 years. Then I move to Germany and worked for a piano factory, as a certified concert piano technician.
My journey lead me interestingly back to my old school, as a teacher this time, and to Germany to see growth of the industry. In a nutshell, I am experienced in workshop, clientel service, concert and factory work.
I have developed over the years contacts with piano part suppliers, manufacturers and piano technicians in Europe and throughout the world. I am currently a member of the BDK, which is the German Piano technician guild. I chose the German guild because their members are, in my opinion, the most representative of the piano industries, which are in good number based in Germany.
Beside my native tongue French, I can of course speak English, German, and have some understanding of Spanish and Russian. My travels have allowed me to bring techniques, products and ideas to the benefit of the Australian public, which I am pleased to serve.
